President’s Message:

The extremely devastating wildfires in Southern California have affected every resident in California in one way or another. We salute the courageous acts of the LAFD, LAPD, CA National Guard, and other firefighters from Texas, Mexico, and neighboring states. Many people have lost their homes, valuables, and livelihoods. Stores, banks, and restaurants throughout Altadena and Pacific Palisades are no longer standing. Lives have been lost. However, many lives were saved by the quick thinking of residents and local 1st Responders. Unfortunately, the leaders of this city and state do not have the capabilities or empathy to care about the citizenry. Their ineptitude, stupidity, and negligence contributed to the destruction and loss caused by predicted high winds causing the wildfires. Loss of water pressure in fire hydrants, no water in the local reservoir, ignoring wind advisories, incompetent leadership in the upper levels of emergency offices, and the neglect of funds for basic equipment and personnel for firefighting caused catastrophic results for the citizens of Los Angeles (if I hear the word “Angelenos” one more time, from Karen Bass, I’ll scream!).

Now, more than ever, Republicans in California must “stand-up” to the one-party system that has ruined this state for the past decades. We need to collectively endorse and support strong, knowledgeable, electable candidates for positions in the government of California. We need to fight for election integrity in every election, and demand fair vote counts at every polling booth! More importantly, the people of this city and state (Republicans, Independents, and Democrats) must hold the people in office responsible for the damage they perpetuate through their neglect and ignorance. The time is NOW! Whether through petitions, hearings, or protests the government officials need to hear our voices! The ruling party has finally tipped its collective incompetent hand. Political change is the only answer to this problem. How can we promote this change?

  • Call your Senators.

  • Call members of the City Council

  • Send emails and letters to the officials in L.A.

  • Sign and distribute “recall” petitions for irresponsible politicians.

  • Talk with your friends and relatives. Don’t be afraid to share your views.

  • Be part of a group that shares your ideas and heartfelt political views!

  • Support our terrific 1st Responders.

Valley Unity Republican Women’s membership encourage the people of any valley in California to join with us in achieving the goals for a safer, more effectively led, and prosperous city and state.

“An Evening Enjoyed by All Who Attended”

Golden State Republican Women’s Fundraiser on Friday, October 18, featuring Mr. Steve Hilton with Robert G. Lee and Jennifer Horn (MC) was an exciting, informative, politically charged event. The ballroom at the Woodland Hills Country Club was filled with GSRW members from around the state, with family and friends. During the VIP Session with Steve Hilton guests enjoyed photos and friendly chatter with Mr. Hilton. The evening’s program was efficiently kept in line by the wonderful MC, radio personality, Jennifer Horn. Before Mr. Hilton spoke, comedian Robert G. Lee filled the entire room with laughter and good humor. A special speaker, Gloria Romero, explained her reasoning behind her party switch from Democrat to Republican. Guests enjoyed the Silent Auction and took home beautiful gifts. Everyone had an excellent time!
